Preventing High Blood Pressure

  • Get to/stay at a healthy weight
  • Don’t smoke( or quit smoking)
  • Limit alcoholic drinks to : MALES(2 or less) FEMALES/ELDERLY(1 or less a day)
  • Exercise regularly
  • Find ways to handle stress
  • Get blood pressure checked at least every two years 

Untreated or undiagnosed hbp can lead to stroke or heart attack and death.
